Volunteer Info!

  • Our volunteers help with everything from event set up, inspection, running a register (it's easy!), organizing merchandise, helping shoppers, and breaking down the event.
  • The more shifts you complete, the earlier you get to shop! 
  • Please make other arrangements for your children; no children are allowed to come with you during your shift for safety purposes.
  • If you need special accommodations (nursing mom, medical purposes, etc.) we are happy to help find a fit for you. Please email heatherbruton@jbfsalecom for assistance.

What To Bring

• Print, complete and bring this Consignor Waiver with you.
• Bring a self addressed stamped letter size envelope.
• If you are consigning a car seat or crib, you can find those waivers here, Car Seat Waiver & Crib Waiver. They must be brought with you.


Where To Go

• Park in the East parking lot on College St. and enter through the doors on the far South side of the building.
• You will go to Consignor Check In inside the building.
• Clothing & shoe inspection will take place inside the building as well. You will be given instructions during this time about where all of your items will need to go. 
• Allow at least 1 hour for drop off. Busiest times are first thing in the morning and "after work" hours.

Don’t worry! We will have signs helping to direct you as well as wonderful Volunteers to help you along the way.

• You may park in either parking lot during pick up and enter through the doors on the far South side of the building. These are the same doors you entered through for drop off.
• We will have signs helping to direct you through each step of pick up as well as wonderful Volunteers if you have any questions.

All items are donated at 3:01pm.

  • New & gently used season appropriate clothing that is free from stains, and tears.

  • Non-recalled items or items that have been recalled and fixed per the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Bassinets, pack-n-plays, swings, exersaucers, bouncy seats, high chairs, kids bedroom furniture, toddler beds, rocking chairs, toy chests, etc.
  • Carseats with Carseat Waiver

Items Not Accepted:

  • Recalled Items

  • Stuffed animals
  • Clothing with draw strings at the neck

PRICING

You set your own price on all items. Price to sell!

Generally items sell for 1/3 of the original price, depending on name brand and condition. Better brand names, unique items, or high price items usually bring more. Ask yourself "What would I pay for this item?"  Please use $.00 or $.50 price increments only (i.e.; $6.00 or $6.50 rather than $6.99). Our best advice is to price your items 1/2 to 1/4 of the original retail price.

If you decide to NOT let your item go for half price, it will print a red star (black if not using a color printer) on the tag. This tells the customer that the item will remain Full Price throughout the sale. Please be selective on the items that you star, since items with no stars tend to sell better on the discount days. If you are donating your items at the end of the sale, please do not choose for your item to remain full price.

CLOTHING

Accepted for FALL:

  • Long sleeve shirts & sweaters.
  • Jackets
  • Short sleeved tops and t-shirts. Not of a summer print/theme.
  • Shorts. Not a summer print/theme.
  • Fall/Winter style dresses
  • Jeans and any type of pants.
  • Pajamas.
  • Fall/Winter seasonal holiday apparel, Halloween costumes, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines, St. Patrick's Day.

Accepted for SPRING:

  • Short sleeved tops and t-shirts. Tank tops.
  • •Shorts
  • Spring/Summer style dresses
  • Jeans and pants that are not a winter fabric.
  • Pajamas-Not a winter fabric
  • Spring/Summer hats, light weight scarves, warm weather accessories, socks, ties, and hair accessories.
  • Spring/Summer seasonal holiday apparel, Easter, July 4th.

Safety pins: Please use 1" or larger safety pins if possible. No straight pins are allowed.

Hangers: Any type of hanger is allowed as long as the items are secured to the hanger.

Tag Location: Attach tag with a safety pin to the upper right pocket area of the shirt or upper right front of pants. You can punch a hole at the top of the tag to make it easier to slide the safety pin through. Please put tape over the safety pin on the tag to prevent the tag from falling off.

Tagging Guns: If you use a tagging gun please insert the gun in a tag/label or inside seam NOT through part of the clothing (to avoid making a hole or tear in the clothing). Also, pull on the tag to make sure it is properly secured and will not come off easily.

**If the tagging gun is used improperly, it will ruin the clothing item and cause it to be rejected at Inspection.

Hanging Instructions:

All garments should be hung with the hanger hook pointing left (hanger should resemble a question mark when looking at the front of item).
Safety pin clothing sets securely with pants hung on the backside of the shirt so both pieces can be viewed without unpinning them.


Safety pin through BOTH pieces AND through the hanger (this will prevent pants from weighing down the shirt and causing a possible tear or fabric distortion).
Please safety pin pants to the top part of the hanger so the garment will not slide.


Only items worth $3.00 or more should be put on a hanger. If your item is not worth $3.00 alone, you can pair 2-4 pieces together on a hanger to bring the price up to $3 or more. They must be the same size if paired together. For example, you can pair a 2T shirt and a 2T pair of shorts/pants together on a hanger. You can also pair three 2T shirts together or three 2T pants/shorts together.

Onesies, socks, underwear, sleepers, pajamas and accessories my be put in clear Ziplock bags. Put only clean items in the bag and tape your tag to the front of the bag. You will also need to tape the top of the Ziplock bag to ensure it remains sealed. These will be placed in labled bins.

If items are hung or tagged incorrectly, adjustment will be required prior to placing on the sales floor.

SHOES

Accepted For FALL:

  • Fall/Winter shoes, boots, sneakers, dress shoes, crib shoes, athletic shoes/cleats, winter crocs.
  • Fall/Winter hats, scarves, cold weather accessories, gloves, socks, ties, and hair accessories.

Accepted for SPRING:

  • Spring/Summer shoes, boots, sneakers, dress shoes, crib shoes, athletic shoes/cleats, summer crocs, water shoes. Western boots and rain boots.

Please be aware of our goal....to be the BEST in the consignment business. All shoes will be inspected and must be in new or very gently used condition. Be PICKY on shoes!

Shoes with dirt, scuff marks or overly worn will not be accepted.

Secure shoes together with zip ties or string.  "Laminate" top of tags with packing tape, punch hole though taped portion of tag (not too close to the edge so it doesn't rip out), zip tie/string through hole in tag and round part of shoe (buckle, heel pull, shoe lace grommet. etc.). This will help keep the tag strong during the sale and prevent it from coming off.

When all options are exhausted for securing shoes with zip ties, you may put them together in a Ziploc bag with the tag taped to the outside of the bag. Tape the bag closed with heavy packing tape

TOYS, BOOKS, DVD's & GAMES

Please bring toys that are in full working order and do not appear on any recall list. Toys with missing pieces and do not function properly cannot be accepted.  Please do not bring any toys you would not want to purchase yourself.

Batteries must be included. Any item with batteries that is not working will be pulled from the sales floor and returned to the consignor. Corraded batteries are unacceptable.

All toys must be clean.

Small parts should be bagged and taped to the main part very securely. Use HEAVY packing tape. If parts get separated, it will not sell.

Games and puzzles should have all pieces and be tied or taped closed.  Wooden puzzles can be wrapped with plastic wrap so the pieces will stay in place.  You will want to put a few layers in each direction.  Do not tape over puzzles with pictures, they will tear.  Use plastic wrap on these these puzzles.

Tape your tag to the back of your book. Try to use tape that will not damage the book (i.e. painters tape).

Several small items can be grouped together in Ziploc bags (rattles, grab bags for small toys).

Multi-piece items that will not fit into a bag may be attached together with zip ties.

We accept only battery operated stuffed toys (musical or animated). No stuffed animals.

DVDs and BluRays only.  No VHS. DVD's must be appropriate for children no explicit PG13,  "R" or "M" ratings, please!

No Adult-Only Games

Again, you MUST secure Ziploc bags with packing tape so that pieces do not get lost.

MATERNITY ITEMS

Must be in excellent condition. We accept ALL seasons for maternity, however we limit it to 10 items per consignor. Please bring your very best.

Please secure the tops with safety pins since they have a tendency to fall off the hanger.  All pants must be pinned at the waist to the top of the hangers so shoppers can see them easily.  Pants folded over hangers will not be accepted.

Breastfeeding tops are accepted with maternity clothing.

Other Maternity Items: belly bands, breast pumps, pregnancy books, etc. sell very well.

FUNITURE & BABY EQUIPMENT

Exersaucers, swings, bouncy seats, high chairs, changing tables, strollers, bath seats, baby walkers, etc.

Cribs-Manufactured AFTER June 28, 2011. Please bring Crib Waiver for all cribs. Click here to print Crib Waiver.

Car seats & car seat accessories-Must be checked for safety recalls, must have all parts and User Manual, and be in good condition. Please bring a Car Seat Waiver for all car seats, booster seats, and car seat base. Click here to print Car Seat Waiver.

Children's furniture - beds (toddler, twin), desks, side tables, dressers, etc.

Package:  If item has multiple pieces use zip lock bags, packaging tape, zip-ties, or string to keep items attached together. Batteries must be included, if applicable.

**Do not attach your printed tag to your large item. Bring the tag loose to the sale and we will attach it to the Yellow Large Item Claim Ticket.

TIP: Put your loose tags in a zip lock bag or somewhere secure in order not to lose them before attaching them to your item.

OUTDOOR PLAY & LARGE TOYS

Large toys and outdoor play equipment must be clean, free of dirt and or water. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work well on these items. Must include all pieces. Name brands sell well.

**Do not attach your printed tag to your large item. Bring the tag loose to the sale and we will attach it to the Yellow Large Item Claim Ticket.

TIP: Put your loose tags in a zip lock bag or somewhere secure in order not to lose them before attaching them to your item.

BAGS & BABY CARRIER

Diaper bags, infant carriers, backpacks, and purses are great consignment items. Please inspect all carefully to make sure items have not been recalled, stained, damaged or are missing pieces.

Tag:  Hole-punch JBF tag and attach it to item with zip ties, safety pins, ribbon or string. If item contains multiple pieces, be sure all pieces are included and list number of items on JBF tag description.

BEDDING, BLANKETS & TEXTILES

Bedding sizes accepted are bassinet through twin only. Please be selective when selling bedding, blankets, receiving blankets, burp cloths, and towels. New and barely used items sell best.

Check carefully for stains; shoppers get very disappointed if they find a stain in a bundled blanket once they get home.

Package:  Put bedding/crib/bedroom sets together in original packaging or in giant clear plastic bags. Arrange bedding sets inside bag so that shoppers can see all of the items as well as the design/pattern. Secure the bag so that items do not get separated. Bundle blankets, cloths, and towels with ribbon or string like a package (be sure multiple pieces cannot be separated).

Tag:  If bedding is in a plastic bag, attach tag securely with packaging tape to the inside of the bag and tape the bag shut (bedding set prices vary widely and securing tags inside bags prevents tag switching). If bedding/blankets are bundled with string, attach tag directly to blanket and tuck it under the ribbon/string so that it does not easily get pulled off when shifting around during the sale.

If the items are small enough, you can put them inside zip lock bags.

INFANT ITEMS

Nursing covers & pillows, feeding items, monitors, safety items, diapering & toileting items, rattles, and more.

Please check for safety recalls on all items that you consign.

Package:  If item has multiple pieces use packaging tape, tagging gun, safety pins or clear self-seal bags to keep items attached together and clearly visible to shoppers. Batteries must be included, if applicable.

Tag:  Attach JBF tag directly to item or clear self-seal bag with clear packaging tape or hole-punch JBF tag and tie it to item.
